Manchester Neighborhoods

Hi Ladies,

I usually post on the NH knot board but thought that you girls might be able to answer my question as well!

DH and I are considering moving our little house hunt to Manchvegas and I was hoping that you could help me figure out what areas, streets, neighborhoods to Avoid.

I know that every "city" has it's good and bad parts but I'm totally clueless of Manchester. We lived on Front Street (closer twoards Hooksett) and I didn't mind it but then again we lived in an apartment and I felt safe there. If you don't mind helping out, I'd love to hear what you think!!! ) Thanks

I live in the north end (smith road area) by the hooksett line & love it.

We lived in Manch on the Bedford line off of Boynton St and it was a very quiet, friendly area.

We live in the Rosecliff neighborhood near the Londonderry line and love it.  Very quiet and kid-friendly.  The North end near Smyth school is beautiful, though, and I would love to live there!

I would probably avoid the tree streets.

I grew up on the West Side and the area surrounding Varney street was always pretty safe. Good Luc

I grew up on the West Side like a pp on So.Main St. and always liked the neighborhood and location. Now, DH + I have a house in the North End on the Hooksett and absolutely love it!
