I'm bored so I started thinking about what I should do for our first Valentine's Day since we got married. We are broke
We'll have the baby. He'll cook. I bought an "outfit" from Victoria's Secret.
Any other ideas? I want to do something special, but I don't know what.
Re: Valentine's Day
I'm not much help because I dont know what we're doing yet. We're going away the following weekend, so we decided we're not going out or anything.
I think we might just make dinner, then watch a movie.
Are you talking about Lucy the elephant!?!?
Hmmm...the older I get, the more I like romantic dinners at home. The H already made reservations at the chophouse, and when he told me, all I thought was -- "there's $200 bucks out the window." Going out gets so expensive and there's jsut something personal about making my hubby dinner (since he takes care of all our housework and chores). I've been cooking a special candlelit dinner for H every month on the saturday closest to the 27th (our wedding day). I look on the internet for recipies and make sure we turn off the TV, blackberries, internet and its our time. We break open a bottle of wine (or 2) and just have time together.
So my recommendation is to put the baby to bed, make a romantic candlelight dinner (something special; not what you eat every night); a bottle of wine; and your "outfit"
.....Enjoy!
How much of a shitton are we talking about? DH and I spent our first summer together a block from Lucy, and have some gift cards to kill. This sounds awesome!
That sounds really nice!
Eva - you had the coolest wedding EVER. I will aways think of you as the cool Knottie who got married inside Lucy The Elephant!
