Girls with Glasses
I've worn contacts since 6th grade, but use glasses for back up before bed or if I'm not working and sick. However, I just got new glasses and like them so much I want to wear them most of the time now. So I basically feel like a newbie to wearing glasses.
I know this is a funny question, but do you wear your glasses in the shower? If not, what do you do? I can't see well enough on my own to shave my legs or put my makeup on for that matter. I've tried using a magnifying mirror, but it produced scary results. I've tried putting my contacts in, doing my make up, taking them out, and putting my glasses on, but this typically smudges my eye makeup. Speaking of smudges, I am constantly having to clean smudges off my lenses and don't know how they keep appearing. Any advice? TIA!

LOL, I feel your pain! I do not wear my glasses in the shower. Makeup is the biggest challenge. I have a freestanding makeup mirror... like this:
Even when I wear my contacts, I like to be right up close to the mirror to put my makeup on. So, I also use it to put on makeup when I am not wearing contacts or glasses at that moment.
Not sure about the smudges... could it be the humidity? I always check the weather and try not to wear glasses on humid days!
I do not wear my glasses in the shower. Neither does DH.. and he has much worse eyesight than I do!
Fortunately putting on makeup isn't too difficult for me... I can see up close, just not far away.
I've worn glasses since I was 6 and contacts since about 7th grade (hard contacts). I wear my contacts all the time and glasses as backup like you. AND i also just got new glasses this week! haha
I go with either my contacts or nothing in the shower. I'm near sighted, so if I shave in the shower w/o contacts i just have to get really close to my legs or i just go by feel. To do my makeup w/o contacts i just get about an inch away from the mirror lol. I don't wear much makeup though.
As far as the smudges..could you get one of those cleaning cloths and just keep it in your bag?
I don't wear my glasses in the shower. ?I can't see a darn thing but I'm just used to doing things without them. ?Other than that, they go on before I get out of bed and I take them off after I get into bed at night. ?I can't see at ALL without them!
