Cooking Class?

Has anyone ever taken a cooking class in St. Louis? Know any good inexpensive hands on places?

Re: Cooking Class?

  • I haven't, I think Dierbergs has classes.

  • Two places that I know of that offer classes are Dierbergs and the Kitchen Conservatory. I haven't been to one at either, but we bought my parents a class at the Kitchen Conservatory for their birthdays. They are taking it tomorrow night. I can post after that and let you know how they liked it! :)

I do remember from researching prices that the classes at Dierbergs were a little cheaper than the Kitchen Conservatory.

  • St louis com college offers them. i took a wok around the world class and loved it. it was probably $30 or so. it was through the continuing ed section of classes.
  • My SIL and I did a cooking class at Dierberg's and really enjoyed it and it was reasonably priced.  They have all different ones so you can pick what appeals to you.

  • I took a really good french cooking class at Dierbergs and really really enjoyed it even Ithough  didn't participate I only watched.  Everything was so yummy.
  • I've taken a few at Dierbergs and really enjoyed them. You can do them individually or as a couple, which I think it really neat. It's fun to do with with DH :) (or friends...)

  • I was actually looking in to the ones at st. louis comm college but I couldn't find it on their website, so thank you for the continuing ed section info.  That helped! Much easier to find.

Thanks for all the info :)  I'm trying to meet people in the area and I love to cook, so what better way?

  • Just an update in case you or anyone else is interested...my parents LOVED the cooking class at the Kitchen Conservatory. They said that the food was delicious and they would definitely take classes there again in the future. Hopefully I will get to go there and take a class sometime soon! :)
  • Kimmy, thanks for the update! I will have to look into their classes.
  • Dierbergs, St. Louis Community College offers inexpensive, non-credit hands-on cooking classes.
  • Ditto Dierberg's, although they don't have them at all locations.  The Viking Store in Brentwood also has them.
