DH birthday ideas on a budget?

Since DH and I are on a serious mission to pay down debt, I am trying to come up with some low-cost ideas for DH's birthday on 2/19. It's his 35th birthday, so I do want it to be special.

We live in Florida, it's just the 2 of us, neither of us has any life-long friends down here. So, a party is out and he's pretty low-key anyway.

I could always cook dinner and prepare a dessert for him. I'm pretty sure he's going to be in town.

Any ideas on a shoe-string budget?

Either stay in and cook dinner and watch movies or if maybe go to dinner at a restaurant that isn't too pricey and relax at home afterwards.

My H loves more than anything just a steak dinner...dessert and ME!  light candles, make a cake, maybe rent his fav movie and pamper him!  That's the best gift I'm sure you can give him!

 Don't forget the vino;)

My husband's b-day last year was right after I lost my job and was still fighting the state for my unemployment,  so I had to be super cheap.  I made him his favorite dinner, I usually don't make him pork chops cause the smell makes me ill,  and made a cake decorated in his favorite colors.  I spent the day sprucing up the house and making the kitchen look like a little bistro.   We then spent the evening doing things he liked.... He loved being spoiled and all my effort,  but the actually cost was really low.
