I got my hair cut today and I went in there and told her I just wanted it reshaped, I didn't want to lose any (or very little) length in the front, and I just wanted it reshaped in the back. She didn't listen and it is a good 2 inches shorter in the front and way too short in the back. It looks HORRIBLE. It will look fine when it grows out but I hate it. I even came home and tried to style it the way I usually do and it just does not look right. I am so mad. And it isn't like I can go back and get it fixed because you can't add the hair back. I already have some self esteem issues and I loved my hair I just needed it reshaped in the back and now I hate my hair.

Re: I am so mad
Ugh! I feel ya!
When I got my bangs waaaay to short (didn't look like the picture at all) and I bawled my eyes out. DH came rushing to the door when I got home concerned something serious happened. When he found I was crying over my hair he thought I was nuts.
I wore a head band for almost 3 weeks until they reached an "acceptable" length. It didn't matter other people said it was cute. I didn't like it.
It is way too short to pull up in a pony tail... It was just getting to ponytail length before I got it cut. I even tried a headband to see if a headband would help and it doesn't.
I don't even think she did as good of a job shaping it. The back looks good, but too short, but the angle doesn't look as nice as it did.
I'm never going back.
I went to Supercuts off of East Market St. I was fed up a while ago because I was going to an expensive place and wasn't happy with the service or the cuts there so I left that place and started going to Supercuts because it was cheaper and I was getting some really decent cuts there (well the one in Lancaster). The one in York is terrible and I will never go back.
Joren, please reccomend to me where you go. I would love any recommendations!
::Butting in with a recommendation::
I go to Studio Five on Locust Grove Road, which is right off Market Street on the way to Hellam. My girl is Jennifer Furst (I grew up with her and she's the only one who has cut my hair since she got her license over 15 years ago). I've referred at least 3 people to her and they are all very happy.
Haircuts are $28
The number is in the phone book or I can send it to you. If you call her, you can give her my name--Lena
Thanks very much!
small small world... she is the one who also cuts my hair along with my MIL and SIL.... I agree she is great and inexpensive as far as stylists go!
