I've heard that the FW store is closing. I've never been to one but I have been eyeing a rug (featured in thisyounghouse.com's master bedroom.) I'd like to pick it up before they close. Has anyone heard a date yet?

I just found an article from Jan 15 that says 8-12 weeks. I'm so bummed. We always buy our tea there and a lot of my bathroom decorations are from there. I'd been eyeing a table setting from there, so hopefully that gets down to a good price. I wonder if they're bringing in a liquidation company or doing it on their own? Hopefully on their own!

We ran up there today and unfortunately it looks like a liquidation company is doing it for them. Because of that, nothing was really marked down much. If you've been eyeing any of their furniture, it is 25% off, but since it is so pricey to start with, it doesn't change much.

We stopped in at Circuit City as well. I can't believe they've sold anything. Their prices were way more anywhere I've looked for pretty much everything. The biggest discount I saw was 20% off and that was only on music and movies. Everyone knows how overpriced those are regularly anyway.

Thanks for the update!! I was afraid that the liquidation would be the same as Circuit City's... where everything is marked up 30% with a 25% discount.

I spoke to one of the employees the other day, and I think they're down to 3 weeks or so.  Some of the stuff is up to 50 or 60% off, but not much.  I was really disappointed by their discounts.  I was waiting for a few things to go down in price, but they sold at 20-30% off, and it just wasn't worth it to me.  There's not a whole lot left in the store in my opinion, but they are selling all their fixtures and shelving, which I'm psyched about buying for my garage.  Good luck if you choose to go bargain hunting there!
