Update on my vacation plans

I posted a week or so ago about taking a cruise and never replied back.  Sorry.  DH were talking about it this weekend and decided against a cruise.  It's something we want to do sometime, but the rates were a good bit higher for that particular week.  Instead, we are going to California.  We're going to fly into San Francisco and drive to LA.  We're hoping to tour some wineries, do some whale watching, and enjoy the scenery.  We are very excited.

If anybody has any recs, please let me know.

Amy, email me - 1/2 my family is from CA and I've traveled there w/family and alone.  I've gone to SF, LA, San Diego, Napa, Sonoma, Monterey, etc.  The 17mi drive is the BEST.  I can give you recs as to where to go and what areas to go to, I LOVE that area.  Plus, you can book on hotels.com closer to when you go and get great deals.

I would love to go to California.  We want to go sometime this summer but I don't think we will get to this year.  I think you will have a blast!!!!

We drove from LA to San Francisco along Highway 1 several years ago.. it was awesome. If you get a chance be sure to stop at the Hearst Castle in the San Simeon Valley. It's gorgeous.

That sounds like so much fun!  That's one of the things DH wants to do is drive up Hwy 1 the entire west coast.  I would love to do that.
