is nine, and if he was in  school would be in 3rd grade (homeschools) well, MIL was watching the kids last week and the 9 year old had his hands down his pants touching himself, when MIL asked what he was doing, he replied that he liked to touch his testicals and that they were soft and it felt good.  MIL laughed and when SIL got home told her.  I said to MIL didn't you tell him that it is in appropriate to touch himself infront of people, she said no, that is up to his mom.  I then went on to say at nine years old shouldn't he know better?  Again, maybe it's me but I think at nine he should know better, I know as soon as Jason starts that, which will probably be when the diaper comes off, that I will explain what is appropriate and what is kept in private. 

Maybe sil should stop trying to populate the world and work on the 4 1/2 children she has going on already. JMO

Yeah, I have no idea how to handle that particular discussion topic without making the kid think that sex is bad or dirty.  It's touchy, but there definitely needs to be SOME discussion about it!  Especially if he's doing it in front of people, or else someone is going to do or say something much worse when it does it in REAL public sometime soon!
