So while I have been filling out applications at just about everywhere, I had to contact a former employer who let me go during my pregnancy.
She is OK with me not saying I was let go, we agreed to say I left to go on maternity leave.
She e-mailed me back asking if I wanted her sister's phone #, she has a home health agency, I said sure. ?SO I called the sister today after being shot down again since I don't have any "paid" experience. ?She called me back, we spoke, I told her what has been going on and she is going to try to help me out. ?Start me of part time doing some visiting nurse stuff & help her in the office, and she is going to train me up so I can work in the hospitals with her registry service. ?It was because I was her sister's assistant that sealed the deal. ?I am meeting with her Wednesday @ 10:30. ?So I am happy & optimistic, but very cautious.
I can be a nurse, I can do the job. ?My clinical instructors have told me that time & time again, I just can't get anyone to give me a chance or even call them to find out how I am in the clinical setting.?
I am also submitting my applications for the RN bridge program to the following schools...
Pasadena City College
Glendale Community College
LA County school of Nursing
Please continue to send positive thoughts my way, I really need a job, ?there is no more overtime to be had for my DH, and I don't think we can make it on his base salary. ?Needless to say I have been very stressed lately. ?I really hope this meeting works out on Wed.?
Thanks again for always listening to me.?
