... but life's not fair.

i dont even know why i feel like sharing this ... i guess just to tell you to give your family and friends extra hugs the next time you see them.  life is too short for some people.

my neighbor, linda, can use any extra prayers you feel like sending her way. 

she and her husband (both in their 60s) live next door to me (we're in a townhouse community).  they shared a great breakfast, watched some tv and went outside to start shoveling our their cars.  al (the husband) drove his car around the block so his driveway could be plowed.  he parked along the edge of the street, waiting for the bobcat to finish.  and he passed away in his car.

i ran outside when i saw the ambulances and just hugged linda.  i am so fortunate and thanking God i was working from home today and could be there for her.  i dont really know much more than their names and what they did for a living ... but i stayed with linda, took her to the hospital, and cried with her.  i am so sad for her.  

im sorry to bum you out ... like i said ... i dont know why i felt the need to share this with people i only know by nest name and wedding date.    thanks for letting me share my thoughts.

I bet your neighbor was thankful that you were there for her.  What a traumatic event, it really makes you thankful for every little thing.

Wow, that is so sad and shows how short, or at least unexpectedly, life can end. That is wonderful that you did all of that for your neighbor. I'm sure she'll forever be grateful for your support in her time of need.

That is so, so sad.  I'm so sorry for your neighbor.  My thoughts & prayers are with all of you.

Things can happen so quickly... my grandparents lost a friend suddenly a few nights ago - his wife took the garbage out and came back inside to find him slumped over in his chair.  This, and your poor neighbor's situation, prove how much we need to cherish every day.
