Watching the Superbowl in Nashville?

Hey girls... DH and I live in Knoxville but both have work conferences in Nashville on Monday. So, we're coming to Nashville Sunday morning to do some exploring/shopping and then hopefully find a place to watch the game. Any ideas on where to watch it? I'm so worried that every bar/restaurant is gonna be packed and we won't be able to get in. We are staying at the Embassy Suites (Cool Springs). We'd like to stay somewhat close to the hotel. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Oh and if you have a rec for someplace cool to go for lunch, that'd be great. Sunday is also DH's birthday so I want to get as much celebrating in as possible! TIA.

Re: Watching the Superbowl in Nashville?

  • There are a few bars in the Cool Springs area that we like. One that comes to mind is Dan McGuinness?www.danmcguinnesspub.com

It's a fairly authentic Irish Pub. According to their website, they will have the food and drink specials for the game. It's probably a mile from your hotel.

For lunch, my recommendations are Bosco's?www.boscos.com

    or Noshville?www.noshville.com

Both are also close to your hotel. I think Bosco's may only offer brunch on Sundays until 2 or 3, so you may want to check in to that.

By the way, I'm about 99% sure that I work with your DH. I'm the AF loss prevention consultant for TN.?

  • Embassy actually has a huge party too.  There is going to be tons of food and of course drinks.  You just have to get there early so you can get a table.
April is National Grilled Cheese Month. How are you celebrating? image
  • I'm not that familiar with the Cool Springs area since it has been years since I lived out there and it has grown so much since then.  However, there is a Jonathan's right across 65 by the mall that is a fun sports bar.  I would expect it to be really crowded but they have lots of TV's and really good wings.  I would just plan to get there early if you decide to go there.

Oh really?? I didn't realize. Thanks for the heads up!

  • Jonathan's will more than likely to be THE place to watch the game in Cool Springs. It is over near the mall. They have a lot of big screen TV's there. There is also Beef O'Brady's & Mineo's on Carothers Blvd. Mineo's has really good pizza.?

I like Dan McGuiness a lot, but I don't recall there being a large TV in there. They have awesome food....especially the fried pickled & beer cheese soup! ?
