I saw the post below and I am currently getting quotes for our homeowners ins. which we are closing on the house in a few weeks. Has anyone used Allstate-for auto,Travelers-for auto, Home Wise or St. Johns for home ins? I appreciate any feedback, I read some online reviews and seems like all had negative things to say and I have to wonder, it seems like the only people that write the reviews are those that had bad experiences.
Thanks for the help!
Re: More ?? about insurance
I used to have Allstate for everything... but they dropped my homeowners policy (I never filed a claim), they told me they had to cancel a certain number of policies and they chose "random" accounts having nothing to do with claims, etc. Anyway, I told them to cancel the rest of my policies (3 car policies, and 2 life insurance policies) b/c if they didn't want my business for homeowners insurance I wouldn't have my other policies with them as well.
In any case, I ended up going with St. Johns for homeowner ins (and Geico for car). Their rates were even a little better than what I was paying Allstate for the same coverage! I haven't had to file any claims with them either so I can't say anything about customer service, etc... but I at least could say that their rates were competitive.
