Re: Mindy!

  • Absolutely amazing!  Truly a wonderful place...I can't wait to go back.

We started off with a cheese plate of Camembert, Camilla Goat and Malvarosa Sheep.  Then we had a plate called Porkfolio which was an assortment of prosciutto, salami, pepperoni, mortadela, etc.  Then some pickled cucumbers.  And then on to the small plates; heirloom beets, tangerine and almonds; radicchio, bleu cheese, walnuts and orange; confit potatoes, spinach and garlic; scallops, cauliflower, grapefruit and olives....and I'm missing something else...that I can't remember now.

And the wine selection is just amazing...I love wines by the glass, so that I can try many and pair with my food...so that was a lot of fun.

    You must go.

  • Ok - I am embarrased to tell you that we went to McCormick and Schmidt's. I did have wonderful fresh scallops with spinach and sweet potato thing-ys that were fantastic. And jamoca almond fudge ice cream from BR for dessert since we decided to take a drive.

Your dinner sounds fantastic. I loooooooove little plates. How did you even choose from the menu? Have you been to A.O.C? They do the little plate thing and have this cauliflower dish which is to die for.

We have a date night coming up again soon - definately on our list.

  • McCormicks is nice for a seafood dinner.  We got a gift card to them for Christmas...we need to go and use it.

It's so hard to pick what to eat at the little plate type of restaurants...I usually just find an ingredient that I like and then go with the flow on the rest of the ingredients and order it!

I know the cauliflower dish you are talking about all too well at AOC.  Working in that neighborhood for so long I often found myself there sampling all of their small plates...
