Can you tell me some more about the Body Restoration waxing?  How much?  Totally worth it?  Easy to get an appointment?  I've been there for massages and your post on TK got my attention.

Re: **anneliesek**

  • The cost for a virgin wax is $85 and up I believe and anyone who has never been there for the blue wax is considered a virgin. Maintenance prices then decrease to maybe $65 after the initial appointment.  It is a bit more expensive than a traditional wax in this regard.  That being said though, I don't think I could ever go back to traditional waxing.  They use a blue wax that dries almost to a rubbery substance and the wax gets peeled off without the use of muslin strips.  I kid you not when I say there is no pain, no pulling, no tugging, no irritation involved at all.  It is so gentle and worth all the money in the world to me and I am a veteran of waxing!  LOVE IT!

I haven't had any issue getting an appointment so far.  The salon is located above American Apparel in Rittenhouse Square.  I normally have my husband drive me in and drop me off so that I don't have to worry about parking though.

  • Thanks!  Definitely a bit steep probably for my budget right now, but I appreciate the info.  I just started waxing a while ago and stopped for the winter cause I'm a lazy, lazy wife.  But with a vacation looming, it might be worth the cost.

    Thanks again!

As soon as I saw Anna's post on TK I googled. I am very interested in less pain.

mrs.kapow- the prices are listed right on the website as well as a decription of each service. Also, not in my budget- but I'm trying to find a way!!!

  • FWIW-I used to pay significantly less for a brazilian in jersey but we decided to just add this into the budget because it is soooooo much better!!
  • I was going to google today, too, and see if there was anywhere around here or in DE (since I live in the boonies of the dirty South) that did it since I know going into the city means seeing my gfs and doing dinner on top of the cost of the waxing.  I have no will power.  If anyone comes across something, give a shout out.

  • I'll keep an eye out for you Kat!!  So far I have only heard of BR and a salon out in the Lansdown area or somewhere that uses this wax....personally I think all salons should move in this direction though!!
  • oooh, I'm not going Brazillian, just deep bikini so the price just dropped dramatically.  SO tempting now.  I might be calling tonight...
