I *PPH* IACC :D

This makes me happy!

And I don't appreciate Bobbie Tomlin's analogy. Punish the deed, not the breed - not all pitties are aggressive. As someone with a fear aggressive dog, that is NOT a marked breed, banning and prejudices against "aggressive" breeds makes me mad.

Move along, nothing to see here.....

Re: I *PPH* IACC :D

  • I can't quite figure out what PPH means, but I am also very happy to see that they're getting rid of breed-specific policies at the IACC.  I"m also glad to see that they've finally brought in a professional for the position of Director there.  I never appreciated the fact that the position was a political appointment and not a trained professional.  (and I'm involved in politics!)
  • pph = pink puffy heart.

I'm very excited that they'll be bringing in a behaviourist too.

  • Thank goodness someone is showing some common sense about pit bulls. That is one of my biggest pet peeves, that people demonize the whole breed.

I didn't like the gun analogy either and I don't think it really helped her case. Sure a loaded gun can hurt someone, when it's in the wrong hands. And any dog, with the wrong owner, could be taught to be aggressive. If she was trying to make her case sound better, she failed miserably.
