hairstylist help please!

I am looking for a hairstylist, I haven't used one in KC since I moved here (I keep driving back to Topeka). ?I need some recommendations. ?I usually get my hair highlighted, colored and cut. ?In Topeka I would spend about $180 with tip, so I would prefer to not go over that price. ?Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!?

  • If you're up for going downtown I used to use Kit at Mood Swings. I would only cut my hair and that was $35-$40 (I can't remember). I really liked her and always did a really nice job.
  • I see Jessica W. at the Beauty Brands at State Line and 135th Street.  Love her, and the prices there are pretty straightforward.  My last cut was $24 and partial highlight was $55.
  • Just out of curiousity (and since I really need a haircut!) where did you go in Topeka?

I was going to ask that too!

Penny, I go to Heather @ Trends. I got my hair cut and heavy highlighted for $90 with a nice tip. Trends is on Kansas Ave by Carlos O'Kelly's.?

  • I have been with my girl for just over a year... she's chopped off my hair and has helped me grow it our for my wedding.  I have never left her salon unsatisfied... I actually purposely make my appointments for 3:00 on saturdays so I'm ready to go on the town.  She makes me feel like a total hottie.  The salon is at 16th and Walnut... about a block south of the Power and Light District... the name is Belle Epoque.  My girls name is Jamie, she is awesome.  Its about $45 for a hair cut and the highlights range from 65-90 depending on full and partial.  I highly recommend her!
  • I just started using Jessica at Salon 52 in Liberty.  I was spending about $130 for cut, highlight, style, and tip at Beauty Brands.  My first time with Jessica was only $60...and that included eyebrow wax.  I am going back to her in 2 weeks.  I loved what she did and the price.
  • my sister in law is a hair stylist and she is really good. she used to work at a salon but works from her home now so it is cheaper than a salon. you can email me at chiefs_lover53@yahoo.com if you want her #....
