Has your phone survived being dropped in water?
My phone took a dive into some water this morning.
I took the battery off and let everything dry up pretty well. I just put the battery back in and got the Verizon Wireless startup screen over and over again when I turned it on. I'm taking it to the store this afternoon to see what they can do for it.
Please share with me what happened to your phone after being in water. (And keep your fingers crossed for mine!)
Re: Has your phone survived being dropped in water?
both my sister and friend dropped it in the toilet....
a bowl of rice overnight and no matter what do not put the battery back in until it's been in the rice for a long time!
DH has done that 5 times (to the same cell phone).
They key is to dry it out (usually over a few days) over a warm air vent or in a VERY dry place before you even attempt to turn it back on.
DH says it is the act of turning your phone on that kills it. It is the elctricity and the water that cook the phone. DH usually dried his on the dash of the car where the hot air flows out from the heater or in your house over the forced hot air vent.
