yo gabba gabba... what the f?

Re: yo gabba gabba... what the f?

  • I seriously don't get it at all
  • I proudly can say that the show has not been seen on our TV at home.  But Nat got a guitar for Christmas and Jos knows the songs.  WTH?
  • My little cousin loves this show!  I don't get it either, it's just weird, but the messages are good and the songs stick to your head.  Kids like it.  My kids aren't into it tho.  It kinda grew on me the times I seen it.  It seems like it was made in another country tho?  Could be wrong tho.
  • For some reason Isabella loves this show.  I don't know why either.

  • I dont get it either.  It is rarely on at home.
  • it's a lifesaver in our house. If it's on though one of us always interacting with Allison, it's definitely not a babysitter(although I'm sure it could be if we let that happen!). We dance to it, sing to it, and learn life lessons from it. LOL. It makes A laugh and smile, and it usually helps her get rid of a bad mood.

I don't think there's anything TO get about the show. It's a kid show with bright colors, fun[and catchy] music, and little lessons about [kid] life. IT moves really fast and I think that's part of the appeal, DH figured out that no segments are longer than 2 minutes.

Steph, it's not made in another country. It's made right here in the good ole USA, and in fact it's made in California. It's the brainchild of The Aquabats(ska band).

  • Lazytown is the one that is made in Iceland.  I think?
  • Rhian and Reese both go nuts over this show. I think it's wierd but it teaches good lessons and has fun music. I love the musical guests.
  • We love it!

Marley beat boxes with her daddy after watching Biz's Beat of the day.  LOL. She's seriously good at it :::shaking head:::

  • I have no idea BUT Aidan LOVES it! He'll sit on his knees, bounce up and down clapping and is mesmerized. I even went this weekend and bought him a DVD. DJ Lance Rock and Elmo are my best friends these days...lol
  • that one-eyed creature is creepy as hell. the hub and i are convinced that whoever created that show was stoned off his ass.

I couldn't agree more!  Gavin got the one-eyed guitar for Christmas and I thought it was so weird I put it away in the garage.  You seriously strum the eye ball to make music...

  • I couldn't disagree more. This show is amazing. 1- it keeps Ella entertained for a good hour. 2- it's silly, funny, but teaches manners, caring, sharing and all that fun stuff  and 3- has anyone see the Jumping Jellyfish Dance with Hector Jiminez, Mya's Peanut Butter Stomp or Elijah Wood's Puppet Master dance? Are you kidding? That's solid gold stuff right there!!!

I'd take this show over Elmo or Barney any day!!!!

  • Dh and I watch it with the boys - they love it!! The music is great on the show, they have some great bands! I always have that roots song in my head! My boys are becoming great dancers due to that show! They wiggle their bums to every song.

Pea - DH is a huge Nacho libre fan and loves that hector jiminez is in it, we have been trying to get the boys to do the jumping jellyfish!

  • Yea, the show is too weird for me.  I'm glad that Jake doesn't care for it.
  • I agree, I don't let Teagan watch it.
  • LOL....Lisa the episode you are talking about is the DVD I just bought Aidan! My mom couldn't believe that this was the show that I've been telling her about...she didn't get the attraction but was laughing at how quiet it kept him.
  • it was just nutty. in the episode today all the creatures were in this car, and the song went something like "we're driving in the car, driving in the car, driving,  driving, car car car"

That sounds like a song DH or I would sing to the baby!

  • I am so glad I am not the only one that thinks this show is a little odd. I heard my girls singing a couple of the songs and I originally thought aww how cute they made up their own songs. Then I overheard that show one morning and realized the girls got those songs from that TV show. This show is almost as odd as the BooBahs. At least with Yo Gabba Gabba you can understand what they are saying. With the BooBahs, I still have no clue.

Nat got the guitar for Christmas also.  It's hidden in the closet.
