DH and I have a tradition that we always go to Melting Pot to celebrate valentine's day together. Well, this year things have been really busy and I didn't call for reservations until this week. So, yes, they are already booked and I am sad about it.
Since we have only lived here for a few years and can't seem to think of where else we could go, I thought maybe you girls could give me some ideas.
Re: Valentine's Restaurant
There are so many options
Dunaway's, Ruth Chris, Eagle's Nest, 14 West, Oceanaire, Elements, Palomino, St. Elmos, Morton's, Mo's, McC&Smicks, Danielli (maybe?), Shula's, Fogo (maybe?), Scholar's Inn, ..... the list goes on!
I think all of these are still open - check though. I was going to recommend some others and forgot that they had closed
Let me know what you guys want to eat and I can go from there
The southside is limited for really nice, romantic stuff like that. There's not high-end options down there.
There's a Japanese restaurant (Kabuto??) over by Old Time Pottery and the Krispy Kreme that will do the food show for you at the grills (and they also offer sushi).
Vito Provolone's is a cozy Italian restaurant off of 135. It can be romantic, but it's definitely not high end since it's in a strip mall.
Piper's is off of Southport and 37 and it is nice and can be romantic, but again, not a higher-end restaurant.
There are some other southside Nesties so you might want to page them and specificall ask for Vday restaurants in the area if that is where you want to stay.
I really recommend the drive to downtown though - it take like 30 minutes max and there are so many more options, especially for a romantic Vday dinner.
