i haven't been to any of these events in the past, have any of you? everybody i know who has says they are fun.
Re: Upcoming events in Nashville
I have never been either, but for people who have are they something that you can take kids to in a stroller?
I have to agree. The wine event on the bridge is pretty crowded and it would probably be frustrating to try and navigate with a stroller. Plus, there really isn't anything else to do besides drink the wine.
I have been to the Brewer's Festival. It is really fun but usually really hot and crowded. I noticed on their site that they are breaking it down into 2 sessions this year and limiting the tickets. I think this will help a lot with the crowds and lines.
I know kids are not allowed at the Brewer's Festival and I doubt the Wine on the River or On the Rocks. I don't see why they wouldn't be able to go to The Taste of Music City though since it seems that the focus is food and not necessarily alcohol (though it is available). When we lived in Chicago there were tons of kids at the Taste there and they had both food and alcohol.
ooh thanks! I want to do our "taste of" really bad! It's really the only one I CAN do which is fine by me!
I've been to Brewer's Fest and I would never take kids there. Like others have said, it's hot, crowded, and full of young people drinking as much beer as they can chug - not a pretty sight!
If you like wine, check out Wine Down Mainstreet in Franklin. It is a bit more low-key there...not as rowdy as it can get in Nashville. I'd have to look up the date.?
?
I used to go to Wine Over Water in Chattanooga all the time. That festival can get pretty rowdy....and Gezatron & I got so drunk one time (not meaning to either!) we were barely able to crawl back....seriously! Ugh! We didn't realize just how much wine was there & did not pace ourselves! Ha!
?
Oh...the Pumpkin Festival in Franklin is also very nice. The events down this way seem to be a little more family-friendly....so if you feel like venturing down this way....check it out! ?
