Killington for toddlers and PG ladies?

Hi from CT!

We are headed to Killington, VT with friends this weekend. The last time we went, I had just found out that I was PG, and wasn't telling anyone yet. So, I had to think of lame excuses why I couldn't snow board or sled (actually I'm not a fan of the former, but would have loved to do the latter!). I got lucky in that the other two gals with us were more interested in outlet shopping, while the men hit the slopes.

At the time, all three of us ladies were trying to get PG, so when it came up I felt horrible having to lie to them. One was really getting frustrated with TTC, and the other later told me that she thinks she got PG that very weekend.

Fast forward, three years later and we all have toddlers now! Plus, two of us are 6-months PG with #2. Since it's cold outside and we all have stroller-bound kids (if we want to keep them under control at least!), I just don't see us hitting those outdoor outlets as we did last time. Two of us also can't go sledding down the huge hill just outside the house we're staying in.

Any ideas for fun things we can do to keep ourselves and the kids entertained while the men are out skiing/snowboarding?

What are some good family-friendly restaurants up there?

Thanks for your help!

Re: Killington for toddlers and PG ladies?

  • Hi there. I dont know the area very well so I dont have a lot to add but wanted to share that I went sledding late in my pregnancy. Just be careful and you should be fine (unless of course your DR said no).

  • I just reread that you are 6 months preggo.... might not be best to go sledding. Sorry! Maybe a sleigh ride with the kids?
