7:30am...and I am still up

Seriously. My sleep schedule is so off. I looked outside and it was daylight. I am keeping a vampire shift! Hopefully not going to bed last night will get me back on a normal sleep schedule for tonight. And the weird thing is, I am still not tired and I cleaned the house from top to bottom last night.

  • That's crazy!  What's keeping you up so late?
  • Heres the crazy thing...nothing! No caffine at all, no vitamins, no energy drinks. I even eliminated chocolate.
  • Hm...that's pretty strange.  I know I usually have a hard time keeping a regular sleep schedule if I don't get enough exercise or properly unwind before I lay down in bed.  Maybe you have excess energy you need to use up during the day.  Either way, I hope you're able to get some sleep tonight!
  • A little update...I got 4 hours last night. I am dieting, but not taking any crazy drugs or anything. It is a program through Scripps Clinic Weight Management. Maybe my metabolism is reved up a bit? I lost 12 lbs this week, but the doc said that was normal...he wants me to lose 120lbs.
  • Well that's good that you were able to get some sleep last night, although I'm sure it's hard to be alert and productive throughout the day with so little rest.  Maybe the change in diet is causing it, especially if you're noticing and increase in energy.  On a side note, congrats on losing 12 lbs this week!  That's really admirable.  I'm trying to lose some excess weight and I know it can be difficult.  It sounds like you found an effective program for you.  Also, if you ever want to do any physical activities (like hiking, biking, etc.) and would like a buddy let me know.  I'm trying to do more exercising outdoors and being in the fresh air always makes me feel great. 
  • So funny you mention that...I was thinking about posting for a walk/run buddy to hit Lake Miramar and the beaches with me...maybe Saturday or Sundays. I am not much of a hike person. I am DEADLY afraid of snakes, so I try to avoid trails that are not heavily trafficed.
  • Sorry I didn't realize you responded to this thread until today!  I would love to go to Lake Miramar and some beaches with you.  Let me know when you'd like to plan something like that and we can arrange it.  I think it would be a lot of fun to see the scenery and get some exercise.
