Valentines Day Plans?

I know some people aren't into Valentines Day which is fine but...

if you are, do you have any plans? Share please!

I think I'm just going to make a nice dinner for DH and I and drink some wine. I'm thinking some kind of seared scallops and chocolate chunk bread pudding... And we'll get each other a card probably.

I am actually not sure what we're doing. We offered to watch the kids of a couple that we're very good friends with. They never really get a night out and we were trying to keep it simple this year. So we've got a fun filled night of Valentine cookie making planned. We'll probably go some place for lunch that we haven't tried and exchange cards but that's about it.

I am not sure what we'll do. I'll be 1 day shy of 12 weeks and out of my first trimester so we'll likely be celebrating that more I think we may just cook a nice dinner at home, watch movies, etc.  I hate being out with tons of people, especially when the restaurants make it all seems to pre conceived and forced.  That annoys me. Maybe we'll go for sushi at Miyako (my fav place) to celebrate since that won't have the cliche Vday atmosphere.

We always celebrated Valentine's Day as our original anniversary.  So, even though we've only been married for one year, this V-day we will have been together for 7.

We have a reservation at Acorn.  Has anyone ever been?

I love Valentine's Day...mainly because my favorite color is red & I love hearts. (I collect heart stuff)

Our anniversary is on the 11th, so we always do our anniversary & Valentine's Day together.

On Valentine's Day, we are going to see the MMA fight at the Wild Horse. Yeh!!!?

Oh and we decided yesterday on going to PF Changs. There's nothing particularly Valentinesy about it but we just love the food and it's been a while. Can you tell we're doing the low-key thing this year?

I've been to Acorn! It's a really nice environment. I went with my husband's employer though, so we had kind of a prix fixe-type menu, but everything was really seasonal and delicious. Hope you enjoy it!

I'm about ready to pop this baby out, so I think we're sticking close to home. Usually we make some creative dinner at home, but I'm afraid I'll have to leave that up to hubby...just propping my feet up is about all I can muster at this point.

I wish I'd check the local boards more often. ?We just went to the Acorn on Monday night! ?It was really good. ?I had the pork tenderloin, my SO had something from their new Tasting menu. ?You order from there and get a appetizer, main dish, & dessert. ?We chose the asparagus as the app, he got the seared tuna, and we had the chocolate donuts as dessert. ?The food was great, but the dessert was TO-DIE-FOR! ?I highly suggest the chocolate donuts!?
