I always get so peeved that Bossman never leaves before 530pm, even on Fridays.  Only for suuuper special times does he do that.

And so I have to stay too.

And the worst part is, I'm hardly ever productive past 4pm.  I think it's bc when I work, I work on overdrive so I get about 6 hours of work done in 3.  And then I burn out.

Dipite - it's the worst when bosses come back to the office on a Friday.  Who TF does that?  It's like solely to check up on the minions (mine does that too)

I have to home to make H get his resume finished and sent out to some companies. I will most likely end up fighting with him because he is a lazy sonofabitch and has no practical experience getting a job since he has only had one since college. He actually looked at me like I had three heads and blue skin because I told him to make sure he had a cover letter ready to go with his resume. He wanted to know why he would need a cover letter ::head desk::

Sometimes she comes back, sometimes she doesn't. Makes for an interesting afternoon. Of course my old boss used to dissapear for hours and then call my desk at 5 minutes before quitting time. I once missed her call because I was in the bathroom and got REAMED. Of course, she didn't leave a voice mail, and by the time her nasty email made it to my computer is was after quitting time. I don't know what I was supposed to do - I mean, when you gotta pee, you GOTTA PEE

I make my living calling on CFOs, etc, and setting meetings. I call a LOT and have an extensive database with all my notes in there for everyone to see. Today one of the senior guys here set a meeting with someone I have spoken with many times, most recently last week, and said for me to call her this week and get something set up. I am SO PISSED. I work very hard every single day and I just feel like he swept in and took all of my hard work to come up with any easy win for himself.

D - the other thing is that he thought all he had to do was post his resume on Monster and companies would be calling him. He was so offended when I told him all he would be getting was calls from insurance brokerages.

Dipite - actually, it's pretty impressive that he's only had one job since college.  I can't blame him for not having the most realistic view of what it's like out there.  But he's such a great guy and really charming in person.  If he gets the interview, my money says he'll get the job.

Thanks Weemo! Are there a lot of internally posted CIA jobs that aren't on their website? He seems to think their job board is public. But thanks for continuing to think of us!

Marsh - I would be PISSED. I would probably be so pissed I would bring it up to whoever is the boss and lodge a complaint.

D - I'm sure he wil be fine, but he needs to make an effort. It's not like the jobs are going to fall in his lap. I told him that every available job out there is probably getting a minimum of 100 applicants each with the state of the current economy, and no company is going to even bother searching the Monster resume pool because they don't need to

Hmm, I am having a hard time navigating the public site, but, from what I can see, it seems there are more listings internally. Perhaps there are certain departments that would prefer candidates to lateral in from other departments.

In any event, it would hurt to ask your other [closer] source!?

My face looks disgusting these days. I think it's because I switched to some murad crap from proactive. I literally have a colony of zits hanging around my chin.

I'm irritated with my husbands band because they spend every waking minute in the studio these days. Get the effin album finished already.

One of my clients is trying to get her non-refundable deposit back for an event happening this Sunday. She canceled yesterday.  I almost want to give it back just so she'll STFU and stop calling me every 3 hours.

my sister's friend just emailed me and said she's looking for someone to help her with her company and she thought of me.  I would be able to telecommute from home and the position would be permanent.  or at least more than 4 months.

in the meantime, the other company that I have tentatively accepted the offer with sent my itinerary to leave on monday to go to west palm beach for training.

when it rains, it motherfuckingpours.  I'm just b!tching because I'm uber confused.
