3 day weekends should be part of the Stimulus Bill
That would get me revived and more spirited, that's for sure.
I'm debating calling in sick tomorrow.
Re: 3 day weekends should be part of the Stimulus Bill
I heard CA State employees have a fabulous mandatory 3 day weekend now...
I'd go to work for you if I could. I haven't had a case of the Mondays in a while.
I heard something about that too, but I didn't think it went into effect yet. And I also thought they weren't going to pay them for those days off. That's pretty sad for the people that rely on that income.
I'll go to work bc I'm paranoid about my boss thinking twice about whether he needs me or not.
State employees might be suffering, but those fekkers have had a bazillion paid holidays for the past 47 years.
I feel strangely not sorry for them. They knew it was coming 6+ months ago.
Well shat! That's so lame. It will be even harder for regular worker bees like us to get our necessary business done without having to take off from work.
I'd go for a government job in a heartbeat.
I'm only working a half day tomorrow so I can get some skin cancer removed!
I can't wait to go tanning again in a few months.
It sucks for sheriffs department employees - they're typically only working 3 12 hour shifts or 4 10 hour shifts a week. Our friend has a few work weeks now where he will only work one day a week - it may sound fabulous to some but it is hurting his wallet big time. And that's after surviving two rounds of layoffs and a complete cut in OT.

Yea, I'd have to concur. 6 months of knowing or not, it's still a pay cut and pay cuts suck. Plus, teachers have summers and holidays off also. I would be pissed if I had to take a pay cut.
Is this supposed to affect teachers too? I can only imagine the uproar if they cut down on in session days.
