Anybody else not like the rain?

It makes me soooooo lazy.  And I was such a scaredy-cat driving to work today. Embarrassed

Re: Anybody else not like the rain?

  • I only like it when DH and I are at home safe and sound. It is raining and hailing here and the wind is blowing so hard...I am just waiting for the trees to blow over. I am kind of freaked out...and DH wont answer his phone and he should be heading home soon. I tried calling him to say wait it out...ack.

And yes, it makes me lazy. I am not afraid to drive in it when I am in my car. My car has all the bells and whistles to prevent an accident, hydroplaining etc, so all I have to do is watch out for other people.

  • It makes me lazy too! DH and I stayed home all weekend. Friday night we picked up Chinese food and sat in front of the fireplace watching movies. Sunday we stayed in our PJ's all day. I have to say it was the most relaxing, stress free weekend we had in a long time. It was hard getting up this morning.
  • The rain makes me lazy too. I just want to curl up the on couch with a nice blanket but I have to work today :-(
  • The rain makes me lazy too.. I do love it sometimes though.
  • We had a PJ weekend too. I usually prep meals, clean and do laundry on Sat and Sun., so now I have a ton to catch up on...oh well, it was fun hanging with the husby.
  • The only time I'm not in love with it is when I have to walk my dog, but even then, I'd rather it be raining when I walk her than it being 100 degrees out!

Cristin - Is the car you are referring to, the car you mentioned possibly buying last year?  If it is, I think we have the same car.  Does is it really have bells and whistles to prevent hydroplaning?  That would put my mind a wee bit at ease.

  • We looked at 3, so I am not sure which one I asked about here. The one we ended up getting has a cold weather package, so in addition to traction control, there is a separate ice/slip monitor and if any tire moves left or right or slips (sensors or something), a computer kicks in and gains control of whatever is slipping or sliding. Also if it gets cold enough outside, or if it senses rain, a little voice comes on and says Ding...caution...roads may be icey or wet. (LOL) The first time that happened, I almost peed my pants. I was so freaked out!  It does the same thing if my gas tank gets low, but it then says "the nearest gas staion is x miles away, for directions, press OK." The car is smarter than I am.
