Outdoor pictures in March? Where?

Ladies,

I want to take some maternity pics outside the first weekend of March... I realize we are fighting the odds of rain!  But I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that we can find a place and that the weather is nice.  I would love the Rhodedendron Gardens, as we took our wedding pics there and they turned out amazing. I jut don't think there will be very many blooms that early in March... We were thinking Tulip Festival in Woodburn, but that's the end of March... I would love some kind of garden that would be at least moderately in bloom...

Any ideas?

Re: Outdoor pictures in March? Where?

  • If I were you I'd do them sooner rather than later. Between 34 and 36 weeks preferably. We took some pics outside when I was about 39 wks and I looked huge ;). Seeing your avatar now I'd say why not now (if the weather let up a little bit).?

?I don't think you'll find any blooms anywhere this time of year, so maybe make it more urban? Find some cool spots in the Pearl or NW. There is that little park near Bridgeport Brewery that is cool as is the brick wall of the brewery itself. In NW you could find some cool doors such as the red door of that church on Everett. Or you could do it at the waterfront. Are you getting a professional photographer? They might have some ideas as well. Maybe you just want to do it indoors? GL!?

  • Ok, I know how dumb this sounds... I'm getting my hair done the first week of March, and I want to have nice hair in the pics.  LOL.  My roots are bad now.  I'll be 37w when we take them, I don't think it'll be too bad then?

A close friend of mine is a photographer, she took the "waterfront" pics in my bio... she's doing them again.  I thought about waterfront or urban places, but I looooove flowers and was hoping to find a garden of some sorts.  Hmmm.

  • I see. Well at that time there may be lots of daffodils out so maybe check out the South Park blocks or other urban parks like that? 37 weeks should be ok still. Good luck!
  • When do the Cherry Blossom's bloom? They bloom fairly early don't they? I have a maternity photo stolen from someone's bio in my "must take pic's" file and it looks amazing. Also what about lakeside gardens or a similar locale? I'd imagine they have a lot of early blooms planted to get the most out of our growing season for events and such?
