Recommend a Bakery for my DS's 1st Bday
Hi girls - I'm new to Irvine and I'm looking for a bakery to make the cake for my son's first birthday party this weekend. Any suggestions? TIA
Re: Recommend a Bakery for my DS's 1st Bday
I would not recommend Cinderella Cakes, that's for sure. I've had cakes from Black Forest Bakery and Heidelberg and they were both really good.
Costco maybe? Not sure how fancy you want to go.
I'm also a fan of Asian bakeries. There is one in the 99 Ranch Markets (on both Culver and Jeffrey Road).
You could also try searching Yelp for recs and reviews.
GL!
Doesn't have to be too fancy. I've heard Costco cakes are surprisingly yummy...maybe I should check that out. I'll google the places you mentioned too. Thanks! And your dogs are adorable, by the way!
Just a thought but cupcakes might be cute for a 1st bday. (My opinion could be clouded by my craving a cupcake tonight)
Sprinkles in Newport has super yummy ones!
Donna B's Bakery in Laguna Niguel. Be sure to order a layer of fudge in the cake. So. Freaking. Good.

I've never had the French's on 17th, but I've had the one on Baker and I think that one is yummy.
Honestly, for a 1 year old b-day I'd get cupcakes or go to Costco or the grocery store.
