Bare Minerals?

Re: Bare Minerals?

  • I just bought Jane Iredale's pressed powder over the weekend and so far so good.

You might get more of a response if you post on the Fashion & Beauty board.

  • I love my Bare Minerals. I don't really wear make up regularly (I slap on some lip gloss and some mascara every once in a while) and this is so easy to use. I also think it covers up all blemishes pretty well. I don't feel like I'm wearing make up either... it's very light.

  • I have been using it for close to 2 years now and completely love it!  I agree with pp that it is super easy to use, and it lasts forever.  I would never go back to using traditional makeup.  The starter kit is a great way to go when you are first starting out because it has so much stuff in it for little $$$.  It even has a instructional DVD.  I highly recommend it.
  • It did not work for me at all... it made my skin look splotchy and it made it itch like crazy! Yikes!

I got it because I'm really trying hard to avoid junk like parabens in beauty products but I noticed some of their stuff still has them along with carmine which is not a vegetarian ingredient. Ugh...
My fault - I should have asked about those things and not let myself be pushed over by their over-zealous sales girl! lol

I am going to finish up the Clinique stuff I have and then try out MyChelle make-up. I hear good stuff about their items :) And I can get it at Henry's or Jimbo's so no pushy sales people and I can take my time reading labels! ;)

    That's just my experience.
I am very fair (I'm English and probably have more than a little viking/Scandinavian blood in me) with light blond hair so my skin tends to be quite sensitive.
It probably works really well for some people... unfortunately, just didn't do it for me.

  • My mom sells the stuff. She swears by it, but I too got all itchy from it. I am scandanavian as well. Right now, the UTC BE boutique is giving out free samples with a free brush. Maybe swing in there and get a sample to use.
  • for some reason it would not let me edit...I forgot you dont live here yet...so that suggestion wil not work.
  • I have been using it for about 4 months now and I love it!  It covers well and is vert light. Does not feel lie you are wearing anything at all. I have sensitive skin and cant use alot of products but this stuff is great! And It lastd a really long time!!
  • Thanks for the responses ladies. I've thought about getting it the past couple days and I've looked on ebay too..

Anyone know of any good sites to order it from so that it's not so expensive?

  • QVC all the way. Most of the BE girls buy it at QVC. It is cheaper than the discount they get.
