Ladies in Athens, Madison

Hey DH and I have found a great new Mexican Rest and wanted to share. It's called EL Omeca. It's on Mooreville Road. They are building this cute little providence like place out there. We like it better than Casa Blanca. Just thought I would share.

  • They have one out by Hampton Cove also. It is the best Mexican food that I have ever had. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the mood for Mexican. They prices are great too.

  • I'm going to have to try that! I LOVE Mexican!!!
  • Oh I didn't know there was one there....The food is great and the prices are really good like you said. We love Mexican too!

  • Erin where exactly on Moorseville Road is it?  We have been looking for a different Mexican restaurant around here cause we are tired of Casa Blanca.

Man I miss Casa over in Florence!

  • Oh gosh..I miss Casa....Crying We would go to the one in MS. We still drive home to go there about once every 2 or 3 months.

Ok so much for wishing....If you turn Right on Mooresville Road (at the red light by the Texaco, it's on the left.) You will keep going until you come to a stop sign. Turn Left and you will see it on the left. At night it is lit up like christmas. You can't miss it. If you go at night you will even see it from Mooresville road. It's in a cute little soon to be shopping center. I like it so much more than Casa Blanca. Plus the price is pretty good too. The salsa and cheese dip there is a little different but really good. I had the shrimp burrito and it was wonderful. Gregg had the grilled chicken nachos and it was great too. We are actually going friday or saturday! Let me know if you need anymore info.

  • I know where you are talking about now :)  For us it would be turn left onto Mooresville since we are coming from the east but I remember seeing where they were building a little shopping center a couple of months ago.  I sometimes go up that way to catch 565 if I am going to Decatur and don't want to go down the interstate or 31.

Next time we want Mexican we'll try it out!  Thanks for the rec!

I know what you mean about going there just to eat somewhere.  Anytime we go to Florence and we are going out to eat it's one of three places...Casa, Ricatoni's, or Texas Roadhouse.  And if I am ever there during the day for any reason and downtown I gotta go to Trowbridges!

  • Oh you are making me hungry for things I can't have...we may have to go to Ricatoni's for Valentine's day....Yum...That was our first date too...I would love some Trowbridges...

  • Ricatoni's is where we ate at the night we got engaged.  Love that place!
