Visiting Sioux Falls in March

Hi

We'll be visiting Sioux Falls in March.  What is there to do for a 17 month old?

Thanks!!

Re: Visiting Sioux Falls in March

  • In the winter it's a little more limited sadly... I would suggest the butterfly garden. Lots of pretty butterflies flying all around and the temp is controlled so it won't be cold.  We also have a zoo that is open year round with indoor exhibits. (The Great Plains Zoo) If you are looking for something the adults might enjoy too the mall in town (The Empire Mall) has a cute little play area, and there are usually lots of kids there. Depending on when you are coming, the first Tuesday of every month that same mall has a music performance for kids at around 9am or so. It's usually pretty fun. There's a Chuck E Cheese here in town too. I think that's about all I can think of right now.  If the weather is nice and the snow is gone (chancey in March but possible) there are lots of nice parks around.
  • Wow, the last post mentioned almost everything I was thinking of saying.  However, there is also a science discovery center at the Washington Pavillion that I might be fun and if it stays nice the falls are fun to see too.
