Anyone know much about Chattanooga?
I'm trying to plan a short weekend trip for our anniversary in June, and DH mentioned wanting go to Chattanooga. I've only been for day trips to the aquarium and Rock City. Is there enough to do to make a weekend out of it?
Re: Anyone know much about Chattanooga?
I lived in Cleveland, TN for college all 4 years, which is 20 min. outside of Chattanooga. There is definitely enough things to do a weekend in Chatt. There are the "tourist" spots on lookout mountain, like ruby falls, the incline, rock city, etc. Then there is a lot to do in downtown chatt. There is what is called the "walking bridge", which is behind the aquarium. It is a huge bridge that crosses the river and on the other side there is a huge park and little shops and restaurants. I can't tell you how many nights we hung out there!
DH is from that area and I LOVE it!! Like people said, there is a ton to do there...Rock City, Ruby Falls, The Incline, the aquarium/Imax , Chattanooga Choo Choo, Hunter Museum, the walking bridge, and just strolling through the art district/downtown.
There are also a Ton of good restaurants. I love Sticky Fingers and The Back Inn Cafe. There is also an Italian place called Tonys in the art district as well as a cute little coffee shop (Rembrandts).
