Party venues in Overland Park, central KC or Plaza area
Hi ladies -
I was hoping someone could help me out. I'm planning an event for 20-25 people this fall and looking for a venue. I've never been to KC so I'm starting from scratch.
I need a venue in Overland Park, central KC or the Plaza area where I can set up seating for a presentation and either have food catered in (or use their individual caterer).
If you could help meout with some recommendations, I would really appreciate it.
Re: Party venues in Overland Park, central KC or Plaza area
I'm having an event in May at Boulevard Brewing Company (local KC brewer).
Club 1000 downtown is also very popular for weddings and corporate events.
The Sheraton by the Overland Park Convention Center also has banquet rooms.
I know Boulevard was willing to work with me on the rental price. I don't know how much you want to spend or how much 'KC flair' you're looking for. Here are just the places I could think of off the top of my head.
There is also a new OP community/conventionish center. It is gorgeous, with great rooms to choose from. My friend had a baby shower there a few months ago, and it was really great!

Oh, and another good one on the plaza is the Kauffman Convention Center. I went to a conference there-it is incredibly gorgeous and state of the art. They have great technology and on site catering. I'm sure you can bring catering in, too, if you need, but their's was really good.
