Poll: Reunions

My 10 year is coming up and I have no interest in going. The wife thinks this is odd since she CANNOT WAIT for hers.
Did you go to your 10.15.20 year reunion? Do you regret going or not?
I just don't see the point. In this day and age, where it is so easy to keep tabs on people, I figure if you lose touch, you didn't care that much anyway.

Re: Poll: Reunions

  • neither of us have gone to any reunions.  i understand the ehh attitude. :)
  • I didn't go to my 10 year a couple years back.  I see all those damn people every Thanksgiving when I go home, why pay $100 to see them?
  • I did go to my 10 year, and if I had to choose all over again I would not go.  It was really expensive and I ended up hanging out with the people that I still see anyway.  With Facebook, you don't even need to go to find out what is going on in everyone's lives.
  • Mine is next year and I doubt that I will go. I know what everyone is up to because of Facebook and keep in touch with those that I want to. I really don't care what the rest of them are up to (my graduating class had 564).

  • I didn't go to my 10-year, but my cousin did (we were in the same class), so she gave me the scoop on everyone that was there.  I may go to the 20-year.
  • I went to my 10 year reunion... it was really lame but I think I would have regretted not going to it! I don't think I'll go to my 15th or 20th.

May will be 10 years since I graduated from university.. I don't even know if there will be a reunion/I doubt I'd go even though I kept up with more people from college (sorority sisters) than high school.

  • I didn't go to my 10 year because I was living overseas at the time and had planned to return to the U.S. only once that year. I chose to go to a friend's wedding instead.  Recently, I've been slowly, but surely, reconnecting with people through FB, and some people I was in Brownies with that are still local are going to meet up next month, so many of us aren't waiting until the next one to catch up!

We went to DH's 20 year last year.  We had a good time and I'm happy my DH got to catch up with people.  I will probably attend my 20 year.

For college, we do every 5 years, but really do it up for the 10th, 20th, etc.  Last year was my 10th, but I didn't go.  My DH and I had already been to the east coast for a trip earlier in the year, so we didn't budget for a 2nd trip there.  I will probably attend the 20th for that as well.

  • My 10 year is 3 years away. I feel like a youngin.
