help me, please - i need vegan meal ideas
my brother and his FI are coming over for lunch on sunday. she started eating a vegan diet a few months ago, which is great for her, but it makes meal planning somewhat of a challenge.
anybody have any good ideas for lunch and/or desserts that i can make for her? or, any yummy suggestions from our beloved TJs?
confession: i have a sneaking suspicion that they may also be coming to ask us to be in the wedding party. eeeeeeee!

Where's Sholly when you need her!
This is what I would do:
Go to www.epicurious.com, do an advanced search, and check vegan and whatever course you are looking for (or just peruse recipes if you like)

how exciting!
?how about vegan chili & bread with a nice big salad?
?Other basic vegan - pasta with tomato/basil sauce - you could do a meat sauce for the rest of the fam...?
my BIL and his fiance are vegan and it's always a challenge but they tend to bring their own food everywhere.
?As for dessert, they like tofutti cuties which are vegan, or you could do a vegan chocolate pie (you can google a recipe)?
I never went full vegan bc I couldn't see myself cooking without animal products. I'm curious to see what you come up with Wan!
I would tell her to bring her own lunch.
This is probably why I've only been a bridesmaid once and was fired from matron of honor status last year.?
You could do a chocolate mouse with tofu.
Here is a recipe for vegan chocolate cupcakes. I know someone else recently posted on What's Cooking with a frosting as well that used tofu and looked good.

She might also have some other vegan recipes to check out.
Anything you make with meat you could always add tofu to theirs and regular meat to everyone else's. Tofu will pick up the flavor of anything you cook.
No recommendations, just good luck!
