What did you do w/ your maiden name?
Did you keep it post marriage? hyphenate? drop it?
Re: What did you do w/ your maiden name?
TTC since 5/09 -- IUI #1 1/11 = BFN -- 5/11 IUI#2=BFP, Beta#1 (14DPO)=319, Beta#2 (16DPO)=643
Kept it as a middle name.. I was never given one since it's not really common in England (or wasn't in the 70s)
I really didn't want to get rid of it but didn't want to keep "using" it since both my maiden and married names have an "x" in them! Would have sounded a bit funny hypenated
It's on as my middle name on important docs like my teaching credential, masters degree, etc... and I have it as an initial on my bank card and stuff. I also sign my name with the D in the middle between my first and married names.
I kept mine! DH had no issues with me keeping my maiden name and I didnt want to go thru the hassle of having to change it. Besides...my name did not sound right with his last name- it works with my middle name but I HATE my middle name!
i'm not the traditional girl type, but i was for this.
knowing that it would never be my name again; i kept a couple of things w/ my maiden name on it. they're my "souvenirs".
