Need to vent
Dh has a work friend that he really gets along with. At his staff xmas party we sat with dh's friend and his wife and we all hit it off. At that party she mentioned that they were trying to get pregnant and they had been trying for over a year. A few months have passed and Dh's coworker and his wife invited us to a get together at their house over the weekend and we went. They were celebrating that she was now pregnant and was about 13 weeks along so they were finally telling people. I was excited to go because they seemed like a great couple and we were happy for them. At one point in the party I had to change Teagan's stinky diaper. I was walking outside through their garage to toss it into the garbage and I opened the door and walked into a major smoke bomb. The coworker's wife was in the garage smoking pot during their little gathering. I was so astonished and I didn't even know what to say. I stammered something about needed to know where the trash was and then bolted back inside. I couldn't believe that a person could be so irresponsible. I literally wanted to smack her. She doesn't even know how precious that little life is inside of her. Later when we left I told dh about it and he was shocked too. They just don't seem like that type of people. Dh said he's going to mention it to his coworker because he's pretty sure he isn't aware of what she's doing. Ugh, I'm just so disgusted!

ugh...I used to really get upset when I heard about these stories when I was ttc. It seemed the stupid, irresponsible folks always got pregnant...go freakin' figure.
I wonder if the H knows? Yikes!
Oh my gosh....it's hard to believe these kinds of stories because it seems so "common sense" to not do stupid stuff like that...
This story really breaks my heart.
That's disgusting! And to think I'd feel guilty when I had the occassional salami sandwich while pg with Blair! I thought she'd be irreparably damaged by a flood of nitrites...
Some people just don't appreciate the gift a baby is --to them it's just another thing. So maddening!
