How are all the moms that are TTC/planning on TTC/have already C?
I love living vicariously through that process - as harrowing as it can be!
Re: TTC Wednesday
Since I don't have TTC updates of my own, can I AW my bf? I've mentioned it before but my darling best friend is going to carry a baby for our gay boys, D&D. On Valentine's day they all met (L and her DH and D&D) to discuss the details. Leave it to our gay boys to discuss baby making with a straight girl on V-Day! lol! Well everyone is on the same page and things are moving foward. They are hoping to do the first round of IVF in May. I'm really excited for them and love my bf for being so selfless. :-)
Things here with me are great. I am still pretty tired but if I go to bed early I am much better. But I have not been barfing only feeling like barfing which is a great improvement. I am enjoying my vacation. Yesterday I went to the mall with a friend and got a really cute outfit on major sale. It is a red cable knit sweater, pants, hat and booties. I think it will be really cute for chiristmas. I like that it is bright colors since so many gender neutral outfits are pastel green and light yellow. It is from the lands end collection at sears and the whole thing was $18. It was 50% off the already discounted prices. Don't you just love a bargain.
We also got our baby book with the pages for 2 moms and we love it. I need to get it put together so that we can start filling it up. We also got the pages to record the pregnancy.
Oh and S's birthday is next week so I ordered a Wes Welker (he fav player on the pats) baby jersey. I wanted to get her one too but they didn't have her size so I need to do a little hunting. They are going to look so cute watching the game!
Andrea began testing w/ opks this morning - funny experience to say the least
question...the kit says it works best in the afternoon but its nearly impossible to hold urine and not drink for 4 hours in the middle of the day. anyone else have sucess with morning testing? we got a negative today but we weren't expecting the + until tomorrow.
Aside from that, we're just ticking off the days until May...CC's have been completely paid off (YAY!) and our baby fund is full. When we get back from the cruise we'll probably look to set up our consult with the midwives and buy some vials! I am SO ready, and Andrea is feeling calm and prepared...no freakouts yet
On the foster front, we're impatiently waiting for the classes to begin. Still absolutely no word from the agency on our background check, home inspection, or ANYTHING. fustrating for sure.

How exciting. I always did the opk in the morning. I think I did a few in the afternoon to double check things but used the morning readings for determining when to do the iui. Sorry the foster system is being so annoying. I can't wait for you guys to start and when we both have cute babies to bounce on our laps when we get together!
Our big news is that I told my parents and brother this weekend. It went so well!! They were thrilled. Wrote out a note that said, "You're going to be an Uncle!!" and included it with my brother's birthday gifts.
I actually got it on video here (don't worry, its short):

Otherwise, we're just plugging along! I'm still getting nauseous sometimes, but its much better then before. First ultrasound and next appointment in just two weeks!
Maybe I don't have a heightened sense of smell, but I've never smelled any vagina on my pants. -- TSD

Meegs - that brought tears to my eyes!! Your family's reaction was priceless! :-)
We're doing our best to get ready for our April start date, but there's not much time left! I went in for a gyn appt a few weeks back (I was on CD 73 and starting to get worried), at which point she prescribed provera and put me back on metformin. I started the metformin that night and within 3 days (before I even started the provera) I got AF, so I'm shelving the provera for now. I have a TV ultrasound (yay! my favorite!!) on Friday to check my ovaries. Yuck.
The met has been kicking my you-know-what, but I keep reminding myself that it is all for a good cause. That said, I look forward to the day when I can eat more than saltines and ginger ale, and can sleep through the night (I was up from 4-6:30 am this morning "being sick"-- oh how I hated that 6:45 alarm!).
Hard to believe we are two (maybe three) cycles from starting insems!
IUI #3 gave us the best 2nd anniv. gift ever: 2 babies! (born 03/09/10)
Peanut and Little Man are getting so big! 2 years old already!
finally blogging again at This Will Be: An Adventure
This week M has been feeling tired but going to bed early helps that. She hasn't started getting sick, thankfully! While shopping this weekend, we couldn't resist and just had to pick up a few really cute little baby sweaters and onsies. It's just so fun. Our parents all seem really excited too and M's mom has already started her baby shopping as well. We are finding it really challenging to keep it a secret!
We are in the process of finding the right doctor and making our first appointment.
Elise - CONGRATS on the cc's!!!!!! Doesn't it feel amazing?!
Meegs - Love the family reaction!! Great idea to catch it on tape!
No new news for us. So glad we got our cc debt paid when we did, since I'm now unemployed. Now I'm just hoping that I won't remain unemployed long enough for it to effect our finances to the point of pushing back our TTC start. Things would have to be pretty bad to get to that point, but I can't help but think of it.
Oh, and in the midst of my terriblenogood 2 weeks, I bought a little baby outfit to lift my spirits
It was only $10 at Target and far too adorable to pass up. Just another thing in the baby box....

Things are going pretty well here. I am now in the third trimester, adn some of the joys of first have reappeared.
( Morning sickness is back and I hope not going to stay.
We also hit the lands end clearence at sears. Lots of cute sleep and plays and onsies for really cheap. I love a good bargain.
I also found out that I am going to be an Aunt ( of sorts) again! My best friend has been going through the adoption process and she was matched with a family of three siblings! 2 boys aged 3 1/2 and 2 and a baby girl who will be born shortly after my Annie. I am so excited for her.

As of yesterday we are officially full term, so I'm trying to get into the "any day now" mindset without getting so ready that I'm miserable if I go to or past my due date. It's an interesting balancing act - not unlike a 2ww actually. We have everything we need and I'm pretty uncomfortable, so early would be a-ok with me! We had an ultrasound last week and the baby was measuring a little over 6 pounds already (about 2 weeks ahead and 75th percentile for size) - yikes! We're meeting with a lawyer on Monday to get some guardianship papers lined up and I think that's the last task on our pre-baby checklist. After that we just wait and I try not to complain too much. :-)
Glad to see so many people nearing the end of the first trimester, and good luck to those starting and in the midst of ttc!
Kendyl?
wow quite the SSH baby boom coming. I'm so excited
no new news here though really...
