Gatlinburg

I'm heading up to Gatlinburg this weekend with DH and a few friends. We're going to be going out here and there but mostly staying in our chalet. Someone said that they thought Gatlinburg was in a dry county or something. Is that true? Can you still buy beer?

TIA!

Re: Gatlinburg

  • I believe the actual city of gatlinburg is not dry but rest of county is including pigeon forge.
  • I know there is at least one liquor store in Gatlinburg because we picked up booze there last year.  I think Pigeon Forge is beer only, but they don't have liquor by the drink meaning none of the restaurants serve alcohol.  They do in Gatlinburg and there are bars there too.

  • I've definitely bought wine in Gatlinburg, so I would think it's not.
