Where to stay downtown Chicago w/a 10 mo. old?

I am trying to plan a trip to Chicago in June with DH & DD who will be 10 mo old (I like to plan ahead!) and I'm having trouble finding a hotel that is w/in walking distance to Millenium Park & Navy Pier that is not a super fancy/posh business hotel. Does anyone have any suggestions? (my DD LOVES to swim, so I was hoping the hotel would have a pool too)

Thanks!!

Re: Where to stay downtown Chicago w/a 10 mo. old?

  • I think it depends on what you consider "walking distance."    Navy Pier and Millenium Park are about a mile apart.   So if a mile is walking distance, than any hotel inbetween should work.    I know the Double Tree on Ohio has a pool, and that is very close to Navy Pier.

I also think Hotwire is anyone's best bet for finding cheap hotel rates in Chicago!   so many of the hotels around Michigan Ave, etc. are similar, that it doesn't really matter which one you stay in.

Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation.
    Because we're fancy like that.
