I just applied/tested with the US Census. I'm thinking I may be laid off soon due to the budget situation.
My contract is up at the end of the year and there are good odds that they won't have a job for me in the fall.
I could know or not know up until the day before school starts. Or a few weeks into the school year.
And it's not like I could find a job anywhere else.
This BLOWS.
I knew it was likely coming, but I still want to cry. ?

I will keep my ears posted for anything and let you know if I hear of any positions opening anywhere.... but yea, my district is going through the same thing, it sucks so bad. ....really, it's the students that suffer. Basically, we're just going to have really big class sizes now, which totally sucks all around.
