How's everybody doing? I was sick for about a week, so I didn't exercise much, but I managed to lose another .8 pounds. I've officially lost 10 pounds since Dec. 1! A little slower than I had wanted, but it's progress. Now I just have to get back in the habit of getting up to exercise. I overslept today...by an hour. Next week I will get back to swimming, and I will be starting couch to 5k on March 24!
I am ready to lose 10 more pounds because my suits are way too big. My pants are practically falling off right now and look completely ridiculous. I have a smaller suit and a smaller pair of black pants waiting for me to drop 10 more pounds so I can wear them.
Re: (#) check-in
Congrats on your 10 lb loss, bridey-- that's fabulous.
I've been doing great on working out but have stalled on the weight loss because I'm not watching what I'm eating as much. I still have 5 lbs to lose so I shall try to be stricter.
C25K is awesome. I finished W7D1 last night -- 25 minutes of running. I had to stop briefly in the middle to chug some water, but other than that I ran the whole time! I have never been able to run more than a minute my entire life, so this is huge for me. Don't know if I'll be ready for the 5K at the end of the month, but I know I will soon. Still haven't run outside though, which I know is harder than on the treadmill.
Congrats both of you on your progress! That's awesome!
It rained here almost every day for the last week or so, so I did very little exercise. Yesterday morning it was sunny enough for me to do D1 of W5 for the second time. I had plans to do D2 today, but I hosted book club last night, and was up late chatting and drinking wine with friends and this morning was slow going. I'll run tomorrow, but it's supposed to rain all weekend again, so I'm not sure how much exercise I'll get in.
Not to mention, I've got a party Friday night, and we are having a couple friends over for Oscars. So more wine and fatty snacks. On top of it all, my weight always goes up 2-3 pounds or so 2-3 days before my period and stays there for a week. So between the no exercise and all the food, I'm just staying away from the scale for a little while.
Aside from the parties, I'm trying to make better choices in my eating so that's good.
And, when I couldn't run, I actually found myself missing it. So, at least I'm getting to a point where I enjoy exercise. I actually want to do the runs as much as possible, I think they are fun. Not really a spot I've been in in years. I feel like I've accomplished a lifestyle change so I'm feeling good.
Now I just need more friends who don't like wine and cheese, and I'll be in great shape.
