Can you recommend a romantic restaurant?
Our anniversary is coming up, and I'd love to try somewhere new. We've been to La Reve and Biga on the Banks. Any other suggestions? I've read mixed reviews on Citrus. Bistro Vatel looks good too. There is also that wine bar in the Quarry, but it feels like more of a wine/apps place rather than dinner.
Thanks!! :-)
Re: Can you recommend a romantic restaurant?
Fredricks on Broadway is my absolute fav! Or I would go to The Lodge. Bistro Vatel is yummy, as is La Frite!
But you've already been to the best of the best- Le Reve- I'm jealous!!!?
If you liked Le Reve, the Andrew Weissman operates a lovely seafood place, The Sandbar.
Fig Tree in La Villita is also fantastic. Ask for the table in front of the bay window upstairs - best seat in the house.
Oloroso in Southtown is also romantic and the food is amazing.
My husband and I love Citrus - its our go-to place before the theatre. The patio outside is particularly fab.
Bohannan's on Houston St. is delicious if you like steaks. They have a great wine list, too.
I'm dying to go to Le Reve! ?The Lodge is one of my favorites, and has a very romantic vibe. ?If you are looking for a more casual romantic vibe I would recommend a little known spot in the Havana Inn on the riverwalk. ?It's called "cool cafe" and they have great middle eastern/mediterranian food. ?Great stuffed crepes, kebabs, falafel, salads and pasta. ?The outdoor eating area is on the part of the river that gets like zero traffic and the whole space is like a green house. ?Great big chandeliers hang from the ceiling. ?It's a neat little treasure. ?Come to think about it... maybe I shouldn't be spreading the word
