are there any halls in this area? my goodness...
I just need a room to rent, im not trying to throw a second wedding reception!! lol...the cheapest package that i can find for an actual caterer is $16.95 per person, and that's not including an extra $2 for a sheet cake and an extra $10 for a wine and beer package (apparently you cannot just have BEER at the bar), plus the 7% tax. I was planning on making all the food (with the exception of the lunch meats and the cake) for Ava's Christening party, but the guest list is at 110 (thats mostly all family and all their kiddies), and im afraid my dad's house just isnt going to fit all that, and if it rains that day, FORGET IT. I mean if it's nice i can rent a few extra tables to set up in the back yard, but i cant gamble with mother nature. Are their any VFW's or Firehalls that i don't have to be associated with to rent? In the Camden/Gloucester county areas? Close to Sicklerville? Maybe relatively close to a main road (most guests are coming from Philly and get lost when they get off Rt 42..)

There's a VFW in Pine Hill. Do you know anyone that lives in Terrestria? They have a common room that you could rent out but someone needs to be a homeowner in the community.
What about the church itself? Do they have a large room that you could rent out? You can also look in Knights of Columbus. My parents had my communion party at one (this was 18 years ago and in Philly) and I think they had someone cater it.
Can't help you out on a hall, because I'm not really familiar with that area. In my experience, though, most VFWs, Knights of Columbus, fire halls should rent to you not being a member (sometimes the rate is just slightly higher).
As far as catering goes, we used Catering by Rich (cateringbyrich.com) for our wedding and I loved him. His prices were very reasonable and the food was out of this world delicious. He's based out of Philly, but will travel, has different packages and he's a pretty nice guy.

The American Legion Hall on Chews Landing Road in Gloucester Twp. is nice, I've been to a ton of parties there. You don't have to be a member to rent it. It's right of the Black Horse Pike, 42 and 295 and is very convenient and from what I've heard affordable. You bring all your own stuff.
