Vent
I am taking the Bar next Tuesday and DH and I have been planning my reward Bar trip since last year: NYC, air fare, hotel all excursions booked. We were planning on leaving next Fri.
We can't go - why? Well DH woke me up yesterday morning by standing over the bed telling me that we need to go to the emergency room. He was in terrible pain and we were at Little Company of Mary from 6am-1pm. He has a large kidney stone and if he doesn't pass it will most likely have to have surgery next Wed (while I am taking the Bar). So with this and crappy financial issues I/we cancelled NYC.
I have become a stress case, (although I have still managed to commit myself to going to the El Segundo library from 9-9 each day).
To make matters worse - DH is in trouble at work because he missed a hearing bc he had to go to the hospital - so how his ahole boss has "suspended" him for appearing in court bc he doesn't think DH made the right decision by not making a bunch of calls at 5:30am, while on his way to the emergency room, to get his appearance covered (which btw could have easily been covered by telephone). DH did call and leave a msg on the firm vm, which he knows is checked by all the partners first thing in the morning. DH is crushed bc he has given that firm his all and his boss is still being a complete douche to him.
What an ass right?
