Ok, so I'm hosting a bday brunch for my mom's 70th bday in November. It is at a local B&B and being catered. My question is...would you also serves a cake.. or cupcakes.. or just nix the idea? I feel like it's a bday so I should dhave a cake. BUT, with it being a brunch and already having sweet stuff, that no one would be interested in it anyway. plus, i feel if i did a cake, it should be a special one. here is the brunch menue if that helps.

Re: Birthday brunch question
I like the cupcake idea (I love cupcakes!). It is a birthday brunch so they would fit in.
I've made cupcake tress for showers using flower pots (turn them up-side-down for stacking) and the heavy cardboard trays you can get at the party good store. They are super easy. I've spry painted the pots and sometimes have covered the trays in foil so they look better. You just have to stack.
