No we're not TTC yet, I'm just thinking of ways to save money. But.....I'm terrified. LOL I have been on BC for nearly 2 and a half years. I have been lurking on GP and I see where some ladies mention that their body gets out of whack the first month or two off BCP. Before I started the pill, I was always irregular. I knew that my body would go through adjustment, but just became accustomed to knowing exactly when AF will be here (and the 3 day periods have also been worth it). I know I'm being silly, but that's just the way I feel.
I'm also interested in FAM/NFP so I need to start doing research on that. I need to go to the library and check out TCOYF. So wish me luck with that and with successfully getting DH on board.
Re: Considering getting off BC
I guess I just have the typical nerves of the unknown. I'll finish with my pack tonight so we'll see how it goes.
Thanks ladies for justifying my silliness. Alesha, if you don't mind if I can't find that book I would like to borrow it from you.
As much as I want to let you borrow it, I've been reading and re-reading it so much lately. It's my fertility bible, lol! Here's an online copy of it that I found: http://tinyurl.com/am52z You're going to want your own copy anyway to highlight and write in. I got mine on Amazon. It looks like some listed now are as low as $5.97. I wish I'd gotten mine that cheap, but it's definitely been worth the $13 I paid.
Oh I didn't think about Amazon! It is always cheaper than the stores. Thanks for the link girl!
I am also going to go off of Birth Control soon! I am waiting until my prescription is up in April. I just bought TCOYF on Amazon. It was only $10.00 and that is with shipping. I bought it used and just got it in the mail today!I haven't started reading it yet but I am sure I will have alot of questions too!
Maybe we can go thru it together! It does seem overwhelming at first but I think I will be much happier when I know what my body is doing instead of it being so controlled!
