smylngal

I saw your post below.  How did your surgery go?  Is recovery bad or not so?  Did you get a colored cast?

Re: smylngal

  • The surgery went fine.  I couldn't have asked for better care.  The doctor did not want me to go back to work until after I go back to see him on 3/2 but I called and begged and he is letting me work 4 hours a day as long as I have my foot elevated (which doesn't happen too much).  I cannot walk at all on my foot so I am using a knee walker, which is basically a scooter.  The scooter is much better than crutches or a walker.  I have an ugly ugly cast type thing - it is a non-removable ace bandage over cotton covering and hard plastic protection on my leg and foot.  I do have a neat contraption that I put over my bandage and protects it from water, so I can take a shower - I would have gone nuts without it.  It takes forever to do anything which irritates me but it is better than having a broken foot.

    Thanks for asking.

  • Aww, I'm sorry!  I can't imagine how frustrating all of that is.  Take it easy and keep your foot elevated!
