We had to put one of our dogs to sleep this morning
We've known for months that the time was coming, but today we finally had to let our Sydney go. She had lost more than 1/2 her teeth, was severely arthritic and was beginning to snap at the other dogs, causing fights between them. Nigel and Nala both seemed to "know" when we left with her and they have been so calm and quiet all morning.
Re: We had to put one of our dogs to sleep this morning
I'm so sorry for your loss. I know how hard of a decision that is.
i am so sorry, my heart aches for you. this is a very difficult decision,
RIP Sydney
((hugs to the rest of the family - the 2 and 4 legged members))
(((hugs))) you did the right thing. Sydney lived a life full of love.
?
I am so sorry!! ((((HUGS))) to you and the whole family!!!
I'm so sorry that you had to let her go. RIP SIDNEY.
Thanks everyone. It was a hard decision to make, but we know it was the right one. She was 12 years old and on top of the problems already listed, she was also losing her hearing and had lifelong anxiety issues. It wasn't a good combo and she really was miserable these last few days.
We had to keep her away from the other dogs for the last few days because she'd snap anytime they got near her. Things looked better yesterday so we tried to re-introduce them and a fight broke out between her and Nala. They ended up knocking over a table and lamp and it went smashing through our sliding glass door. I was cleaning up broken glass for hours!
